Blaise the Builder

This all started with a Barney DVD that we checked out from the library for, oh, 8 weeks straight. Blaise saw "previews" for other TV shows, so he was slightly familiar with Bob the Builder from the 30 second blurb on the Barney DVD. When we were at our weekly library stop, he found a Bob the Builder DVD and asked if we could take it home. I enthusiastically agreed. After 8 weeks of Barney, it was time for a change.

While watching the DVD one afternoon, I noticed him grabbing his hardhat and tool apron. He grinned at me his shy smile and quietly said, "I'm Bob the Builder." And the endless play of Bob the Builder was born.
In the DVD Bob the Builder goes "on-site" to see a skyscraper and a parking garage building built. The DVD has live footage of both construction sites. And so, Blaise the Builder goes "on-site" and builds - you guessed it - skyscrapers and parking garages.

We had just bought a new carseat for Zélie and had turned the box into a house. The first step to building the parking garage was always to saw down the house.
I don't remember what he was telling me about here, but check out those expressions!
Some serious concentration

Next, we built skyscrapers out of boxes. I knew I saved all of them for a reason (besides for wrapping Christmas presents).
I will never forget the day that Aaron was getting ready to leave for work and nonchalantly mentioned that he was going "on a site visit" that morning. Blaise's eyes lit up with pure joy. Dad was going on site just like Bob!? How awesome! That afternoon when we were praying at naptime I said something along the lines of, "Bless Dad at work, may he be having a good day at the office," to which Blaise immediately corrected me, "No, he is on site today."
