This girl got to celebrate her birthday THREE times. Three times for her third birthday. How appropriate.
She and Aaron went to Fargo for Aaron's 10-year class reunion. While there, they celebrated with Grandma Sharon, Grandpa John, and Great-Grandma Doris. They had an angel food cake with pink frosting and fresh strawberries. The report was it was superb!
Gift from Great-Grandma Doris: Purses!
And from Grandma and Grandpa: an ironing board and new Mass dresses and play clothes!
Our friends (Zelie's godparents) were headed out of town the day before her birthday, and since we hadn't seen them in forever and day, we invited them over for supper. And why not have birthday brownies and ice cream with it?
On her actual birthday, the birthday girl woke up to streamers surrounding her gift: a new bike!
And, of course, we immediately had to take it for a spin.
That evening we had a little party with our friends the Burdas and the Fischers.

She requested another pink cake. I took that to mean strawberry with pink (vanilla) frosting.
Opening gifts. Lucy was in charge of the cards.
New sunglasses courtesy of Grandma Marilyn and Papa Neil, along with new socks and two new fire fighting shirts (purple and pink). A new bubble blower thanks to Aunt Amy. Amy also made Zélie a quilt and pillow for her baby dolls. They're adorable!
Yep, she's three.

Watch out world.
