B: After we take a WHOLE BUNCH of naps, and after we take a WHOLE BUNCH of dark naps (sleeping at night), and after we eat a WHOLE BUNCH of breakfastses, THEN, the baby will be here...three days.
He anticipated the arrival of Lucy just as much as we did!
When we're outside in our yard, we let Blaise pee by the fence. Why not? One morning, I took the kids to a wooded area to go hiking. Before leaving for "the forest" Blaise and I had this conversation.
Me: You need to go pee before we go.
B: Do they have a bathroom there?
Me: Nope. There is no bathroom in the forest.
B: Do they have a fence?
While driving one day...
B: When we pray the morning offering, I will pray for Pope Benedict and you can pray for Pope Francis.
We woke Blaise up early one morning to get ready for Mass. Aaron tried first, and Blaise was very grumpy with his dad. I came in the room in time to hear, "I want my chocolate cake!" Aaron didn't know what to do, so I quickly sat by Blaise, rubbed his back, and said with a laugh, "Blaise, there is no chocolate cake, silly goose. It's morning!" He snapped out of his dream and started laughing with me.
After Sunday Mass, we were walking back to our car when Blaise ran smack into a parked car. Aaron and I couldn't help but laugh hysterically, which surprised Blaise so much that he didn't even have time to think about crying.
This picture was at the end of a Curious George book about feeding animals at the zoo. I asked Blaise what George and the man with the yellow hat were eating for their snack. His answer: bananas and beer. Hmm....
In his undies and boots. What a man.
Getting ready to help Dad fix the toilet. Zélie totally photo bombed this picture.
He was so excited to have his tools on and helping Dad.
Playing with the Bob wood. I can't tell you how many times a day I put that piece of medical wrap around his waist as his toolbelt.
He would build a house and then I'd pretend to go inside. He'd give me the grand tour and I'd ooo and ahh over everything. Sounds like someone's Dad is a realtor, eh?
Please note the Mass procession going on in the background with Little House in the Big Woods as the Lectionary.
Fire pit fun with Uncle John supervising.
