November: Random Happenings

I don't remember what project he was working on, but he needed his sunglasses. He looked so…gangster…decked out in his jogging suit and sporting his bright orange glasses. I do remember that he didn't want me to take his picture, so this is the best shot that I could get.
This was during our toilet saga. Everything had been taken out of the garage to disinfect the floor. Blaise found Aaron's open house signs and put them all up. I hope the neighbors didn't think they were serious. Aaron was pretty proud, though - future real estate investor, right here.
One rainy day, the kids and I were going c-r-a-z-y, so I called up Lowe's and asked if they had any refrigerator boxes. They acted like this was a common question, checked to see if one was available, and when it was, said they would save it for us. God Bless you, Lowe's employees, for saving the day. We picked it up 15 minutes later and had hours (and weeks!) of fun cutting windows and doors, snuggling under blankets, and cooking pretend meals. I have to be truthful and say that it wasn't all fun and games. There were many fights over which door Zelie could use and when she was allowed to open the window.
Cute baby legs. She was very much into jackets, well, accessories of all kinds, but jackets in particular.
I love this picture. She is so serious about this phone call!
Again, in an effort to beat the stir-craziness of another rainy day, we did some paper-mache. This was the first time for such an art project, so it was a huge hit. It also took a lot of time doing each step: tearing up the newspaper into strips, making the flour and water mixture, dying it a certain color, and then gluing the newspaper onto a paper plate.
Always tasting everything...
