A Morning Adventure

I love jacket weather, which is a dominant season here in Oklahoma.
This particular September jacket weather morning we spent digging outside in the flowerbeds. Yes, you read that correctly, the flowerbeds. I think it drives the neighbors a little crazy. We do have a sandbox, but there is something so appealing about the flowerbeds that I just couldn't stop my Bob the Builder from rearranging the dirt in them day after day after day.
Jackets are optional if you are a Blaise Michael, as are pants.
And shoes.
Zélie got this trike at a consignment sale. Blaise loves it just as much as she does because he can load the back up with dirt. The tricycle played an essential part in our daily rearranging of dirt.

After some time digging, Blaise went into the garage and discovered some of Aaron's tools. He found a wrench that he was certain would open the fire hydrant at the end of the street, so off we went with our load of dirt in tow.
He tried really hard, but decided the wrench was unfortunately too small. We agreed that maybe Firefighter Uncle John could bring the right size sometime.
Back at home, Blaise surrendered the pink tricycle to the proper owner, and we were off again for a trip around the block.
I don't remember why he was sad in this picture, but, gosh, it's cute!
