Blaise and Zélie in March

Did I really just write that my children play so beautifully together? I must have jinxed myself because starting in March, things got a little...territorial. Zélie was no longer content with swapping toys when Blaise wanted a toy she had, and Blaise was no longer content with sharing any of his toys with his baby sister. Oh, the battles that were and are and forever will be had.

They were still cute together, though, and thankfully I caught the good moments on camera to remind myself that they do love each other.
Blaise playing storytime with Zélie. On the left, he's reading the story. On the right, he's doing patty-cake.
Playing Little People airport.
This was the first thing that they really starting playing together.
Shaving cream in the bathtub. Blaise lathered up Zélie's head for her.
Can you guess what he is doing? Shaving his legs, just like Mom!
I was busy getting my breakfast ready one morning when I looked over and saw this: Blaise feeding the baby. He did a really great job, too. I was afraid he was going to stick the spoon down her throat, but he didn't. He was very gentle. I thought to myself, "So THIS is what it's like to have the 'older' kids help out." It was actually a bit of a relief having him give the baby a few bites of applesauce - gave me time to flip my egg and butter my toast in peace and quiet!
