Blaise spent February and March doing what he does best: being a toddler boy. He tries my patience like nothing in this world ever has before, but looking through these pictures reminds me why I do this day-in and day-out. I love the little burger.
| I don't know where we were going or why we even took this picture other than he was just being so stinkin' cute! |
I noticed during these couple of months his imagination going to new heights. I peeked in at his play one day and saw him making his stuffed animals talk to one another in Blaise language, of course. It sounded like a pleasant little conversation.
| Our tech junkie. His newest finds were earbuds. He dug a blue pair and a white pair from our drawer of cords. |
We experimented a tiny bit with potty training. This picture was taken after he had an accident. He stripped down and then suddenly decided he had to write a letter. I asked him who he was writing to. Aunt Amy.
I won't post pictures of our other memorable potty training incident. We went for a walk, forgetting that he was wearing underwear and not a diaper. We had made it around the block and were three houses down from ours when we looked back and saw that Blaise was standing in the neighbor's driveway with his drawers dropped. He had had an accident and was stripping down. I'll forever remember the huge grin on his face as he ran away from me, and then his squeals of protest as Aaron carried him under his arm the rest of the way home.
Please note his shoes, which aren't really shoes at all. They are the covers to his car seat armrests. I was particularly amused at how the instant he saw them, he put them on his feet. For whatever reason, they were most often worn while playing basketball.
Blaise found this little gem while dumpster diving in the neighbor's garage. We were on a walk on one of the first hot days of March and come upon the neighbor boys playing basketball in their driveway. Their dad came out and started talking to us, and before I knew it Blaise was in their garage going through boxes. Ah! The dad said, "Oh, that stuff is give away. If he finds anything he wants he can have it." Sure enough, he found something.
For whatever reason, blogger won't link to my youtube account, so I'll just post the link. Click here to see Blaise's performance with his new guitar. Did I mention it only has four strings? That doesn't stop him. :) (Please, please excuse my terribly off-pitch singing and my lack of knowing the real words to Barbara Ann.)
He likes to rock in my high-heels. The sad thing is he walks around better in them than I do!
Even getting into the car with them on was no big deal.
