May: David's Graduation

Two weeks after our trip for John's graduation we found ourselves headed north AGAIN, this time to Fargo for another brother's graduation: Mr. David Beauclair!
(Yes, we've perfected the 11-14 hour trips. If you want tips on how to survive, let us know. We'd be happy to share.)

The southern Beauclairs with the newest Shanley High School graduate.
We're so proud of you, David!

David is going to....da-da-da-DA...the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in the fall. We couldn't be more excited to have another Husker in the family and to have another reason to visit Lincoln!

Blaise got a little crazy at the graduation reception. We were outside playing basketball (Grandma and Grandpa Beauclair have a basketball hoop, too!) when Aaron and I looked over to see Blaise blessing himself...with mud! Once he got in it, we let him play. Why not? Isn't that why they make Shout?

I'm not sure if this is Uncle David's or Uncle Gregory's hat, but you'd better believe Blaise thought it was awesome!

We broke up our trip home into two legs: Fargo to Lincoln and then Lincoln to Tulsa. We stayed with the Burdas to whom we are grateful for their drop-of-the-hat hospitality!

On our trip to Lincoln, we stopped in Sioux Falls for supper. Usually we pack sandwiches for the road, but at the time of departure, Baby Beauclair said, "NOOOO thank you!" to that. Baby decided to have Wendy's.

Blaise highly approved of Baby's decision.

He took his first kid's meal very seriously.

We hit the jackpot with this kid's meal. Blaise ate all of his meat - ehh, "meat"? - and apple sticks. We saved the bottle of milk that came with it for bedtime. And the toy that came with it was by far the coolest kid's meal toy we had ever seen: a little piano that really played! It came with sheet music and everything!
