Upon returning home from Fargo, we had our own little family Christmas. Blaise was getting the hang of opening presents by this point.
Opening our gift to him.
Monkey pajamas!
Dad with his cool gift.
A DeWalt drill. I was so stinkin' excited to give this to him.
My parents gave him drill bits, so he's all set to do all sorts of work around the house.
I love this picture.
My guys at work.
Epiphany weekend we skyped with my parents to open each other's gifts. Aaron and I love remembering Blaise's reaction to opening one of his gifts from my parents. He was eating some Goldfish, so he only had one hand to work with. I helped him open the gift, and as soon as he saw what was inside, he started shaking. He was so excited to see his very own copy of "My Big Rig." He wanted to read it RIGHT THEN, but was so torn between taking it out of the box and finishing the Goldfish in his hand. He shoved the Goldfish in his mouth as fast as he could, grabbed the book, and raced over to Aaron to have him read it to him. I wish we would've had a videocamera to record his reaction. It gave us the perfect picture to the phrase, "As excited as a kid on Christmas Day."
